EuroSeries® ESP Axial Blade Fans

Overview
The EuroSeries® ESP axial blade fans feature single-shot die-cast aluminium blades and an external rotor motor design. Available in eleven sizes, these fans provide extract capacities up to 13.89 m³/s and pressures up to 300 Pa, with all units designed for variable speed control.

Impellers

All fans are supplied with cast aluminium impellers, ensuring durability in outdoor conditions and resistance to abrasive airflow. For reversible intake operation, expect approximately a 30% reduction in performance.

Motors

• External rotor motors designed specifically for this fan range.
• Ball bearings are lubricated for life.
• Rotors dynamically balanced according to ISO 1940.
• Sizes 250–1000 mm: motors protected to IP54 against dust and moisture (BS EN 60529:1992).
• Ribbed aluminium body castings enhance cooling efficiency.
• Motor insulation: Class F, suitable for -40°C to +70°C.

Electrical Specifications

• Single-phase: 220–240V, 50Hz, capacitor start and run.
• Three-phase: 380–415V, 50Hz.
• Terminal box: IP54, with 20 mm and PGII entries.
• Thermal overload protection is included and should be connected to all controllers and starter contactors.
• Motor pole options: 2, 4, 6, or 8 poles.

Terminal Box

The IP54 terminal box protects against dust and water from any angle, allowing for outdoor installation.

Performance & Standards

Fan performance is tested in accordance with BS848 Part 1 (1980).

Sound Levels

Sound levels are measured in a reverberant chamber per BS848 Part 2 (1985).

• dB(A) figures represent free-field sound pressure levels at 3 m with spherical propagation (reference: 20 μPa).
• Sound power levels are in dB with a reference of 10⁻¹² W.
• For minimum noise during speed control, auto transformer speed control is recommended.
