NCA SERIES 400 FIRE DAMPER

A CE marked single-blade fire damper available in handle or actuator operated variants, the NCA S400 features reduced leakage characteristics (ES) and has been certified for use in drywall partitions, masonry walls and concrete floors.

About NCA S400 Fire Damper

A CE-marked single-blade type fire damper, assessed against the requirements of EN 15650.

The result of years of intensive research, development and testing, the new NCA Series 400 single-blade leakage-rated fire dampers are now available from HVAC. 

With a range of innovative features for a fire damper never seen before from a UK manufacturer, the S400 is designed to be as easy as possible to specify, install and use and is available in two variants:

• S400H (hand-operated)

  • Equipped with a mechanism permitting testing and resetting of the damper to be completed within seconds with a single hand (see video demonstration below).

  • Thermal link is externally replaceable and available in 68°C (standard) or 93°C (high temperature) variants.

• S400A (motorized)

  • Equipped with a Belimo BFL or BFN series electronic actuator (24V or 230V) complete with a 72°C thermal probe.

S400 Advantages

  • The S400 is currently available with three certified installations to suit drywall partitions of minimum EI60 group A construction, masonry walls and concrete floors, all with 120-minute bi-directional 'ES' ratings.

  • Regardless of the installation type, hole sizes are uniform and common with our S700 multi-blade fire damper, meaning one formula can be used to calculate all hole sizes on a project if both S400 and S700 dampers are used. 
    

• For installers

  • Our simple plate frame is supplied with pre-cut fixing holes, making installation a genuinely fast process. No backfilling or sealing of apertures is required, nor is a mattress frame.

  • Integrated case sealing rings provide an airtight seal with ductwork, without the use of sealants.

  • Actuators are supplied factory-fitted to dampers, with no site assembly required.
    

• For end users and maintenance staff

  • S400H handle mechanism dramatically speeds up mandatory testing. Furthermore, with the S400H, on-site conversion is possible. This makes upgrading from handle to actuator operation possible with simple tools and an HVC-supplied conversion kit (see video demonstration below).
